The Simonson family first entered the petroleum industry in 1933, establishing a legacy of over 90 years with gas stations and travel centers across North Dakota and Minnesota. This impressive track record has made them a leading name in the Upper Midwest&#8217;s retail petroleum sector, with more than 20 locations.<br \/><br \/>The idea of running a 24\/7 transportation company was a natural next step for the Simonson group, given their experience with round-the-clock operations. FreightEx was born as an asset-based freight company, launching with just three tractors and three reefer trailers.
