Scholarship Application

Two scholarship awards of $1,000 and two of $500 to be presented to local high school seniors who are members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Muenster, TX.

Eligibility

Applicants must

• be a graduating high school senior
• be a registered member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church or enrolled at SHCS *be enrolled in an accredited 2-year or 4-year college, University, or vocational school

How to Apply

• Complete application.
• Prepare a 300-500 word essay discussing the following prompt:
  • A Catholic’s role in society: How are you called to live out your faith as a college student? As a Catholic, how will your adult life be influenced by your faith?
• Application must be received no later than May 1, 2024.
• Do NOT drop applications off at your school office as this may result in a late submission, which will not be accepted for scholarship consideration.
• Application and essay must be filled out below no later than 4:00 pm on the deadline date.

Awarding of Scholarship

• Scholarship announcement: Baccalaureate Mass
• Baccalaureate: May 15th 2024
• Scholarships will be awarded on a one-time basis and will not be renewed.
• Award will be paid after proof of registration at an institute of higher education.
• Incomplete applications/essays will not be considered.
• Scholarship recipients are responsible for contacting Stacie Forshee at the parish office for instructions on receiving payment to your accredited 2-year or 4-year college, University, or vocational school of choice.
